The PET and PST have distinct requirements for male and female candidates, as well as different categories and localities. For example, the general height requirement for male candidates is 170 cm, while female candidates must be 157 cm tall. However, there are allowances for candidates from Scheduled Tribes, North Eastern States, the Gorkha Territorial Administration, and others. Similarly, race duration and distance differ for candidates from Ladakh and other locations.
